Going through this book one will come to know about the hidden facts of rising Hindu communal forces in India. Though India had declared itself as a secular state, but in the last couple of decades, it has been observed that the rise in Hindu fundamentalism in India is a concern not only for the minorities in the country but also to its neighbours and Western countries.
Recently western countries has considered India as its strategic partner but to what extent. The Hindu fundamentalism is not confined to religious fanaticism, they had entered into organised politics in the form of political parties and the BJP (Bhartiya Janata Party) is one of them. Even the ruling secular parties like congress have party workers and leaders who were former members of RSS (Rashtriya Swayam Sevak) a banned Hindu militant organisation active in India for the last 75 years.
There had been worry about the west of Pakistan's nuclear arsenal being falling into the hands of Taliban and other islamic fanatics and therefore the west had entered into the 123 agreement with India especially the US ignoring the harsh realities of Hindu fundamentalism and their underground network as highlighted in this book. The recent arrest of Indian army officers in blasts that took place in muslim dominated areas of India attracts attention on this part.
